Recorded October/November 2020 at The Broom Closet
This is more of an all-acoustic "maxi-single" than it is a new EP. The first track "Silence Fell Between" is new - it was written at the tail end of the "Letters In Fall" sessions and I opted not to include it on that EP. So here it is now!
The rest of the songs are re-imagined versions of older very loud, very distorted Creevey Crisis songs. Almost every song I write is done so on an acoustic guitar, but then when I actually record them I end up adding 100 layers of distorted guitars and pounding drums. So I thought it would be fun to re-work some of my favorite older heavier songs into quiet acoustic tunes while we've all been staying at home.
Yes I 100% got the idea from Future Teens' "Sensitive Sessions".
I've always shied away from sparse arrangements for a number of reasons, so I took this project as a challenge to myself to record songs with just one guitar track and one vocal track. That's it. No layering. No crazy effects or production tricks. Just one acoustic and my voice, for better or for worse. Since it's only one new song and a bunch of re-imagined older songs this EP is "Name Your Price" so by all means feel free to download it for $0 if you like, or you can pay a buck or two if you want. Either way, I hope you enjoy it!
